Higher Ed Proposals Due 11/17/2026
The Association of Collegiate Computing Services of Virginia (ACCS-VA) is committed to providing a professional, welcoming, inclusive, and collaborative environment that supports the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and best practices among higher education technology professionals. This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, guests, and Advisory Board members participating in ACCS-VA events.
Consistent with the ACCS-VA mission, participants are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, respect, and a spirit of cooperation that fosters learning, networking, and the exchange of ideas.
All participants are expected to:
Demonstrate Professionalism
Promote Inclusivity and Respect
Support Collaboration and Learning
Conduct Yourself with Integrity
Follow Event Policies
Respect Intellectual Property
Respect Privacy and Personal Boundaries
Report Concerns Promptly
The following conduct is prohibited and may result in corrective action:
Harassment, discrimination, and intimidation
Disruptive conduct
Misuse of Conferences Resources
Unwanted physical contact or invasion of personal boundaries
Damage to property, theft, misuse of facilities, or violation of venue policies
Any behavior that undermines the professional, educational, collaborative, or respectful environment that ACCS-VA seeks to provide
Participants who experience or witness conduct that may violate this Code of Conduct should promptly notify any ACCS-VA Advisory Board member. Reports will be handled promptly, respectfully, and as confidentially as circumstances permit.
All participants are expected to comply immediately when asked to stop inappropriate or prohibited behavior.
Violations of this Code of Conduct MAY result in one or more of the following actions:
Verbal or written warning
Removal from a session, event, or , or sponsor area
Expulsion from the conference without refund
Restriction from future ACCS-VA events
Referral to venue security or local authorities when warranted
The ACCS-VA Advisory Board reserves the right to determine the appropriate response based on the nature, severity, and circumstances of the violation.
